A kaigai idol is an “overseas idol” a performer who carries on Japanese J-pop idol culture from outside Japan, and/or who isn’t of Japanese descent. They sing, dance, and build a close connection with their fans.
No. Anyone can become a kaigai idol regardless of nationality or background. The community is open to everyone who approaches the culture with passion and respect.
No experience is required. We welcome beginners and help new members grow their singing, dancing, and performance skills.
We perform at anime conventions, J-pop and J-fashion events, and local live shows throughout California.
